Big Nope aggregates public recall data published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for informational purposes only. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
Not medical or legal advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for checking with a doctor or the product’s manufacturer. Always verify a recall directly with FDA.gov before acting on it.
Data accuracy
Recall data comes from three separate openFDA feeds (food, drug, device), refreshed weekly. We normalize and merge that data but don’t edit its substance. The FDA’s own records are the authoritative source — if this site and FDA.gov ever disagree, FDA.gov is correct. Data can lag the FDA’s own publication by up to a week between refreshes.
No warranty
Big Nope is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. State matching is deliberately biased toward showing a recall to more people rather than fewer — see the site’s public documentation for why — which means you may occasionally see a recall that doesn’t actually affect your state.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Big Nope and its operators aren’t liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its data.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of this site at any time. We may update these terms as the site changes; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
